Thank You!
A warm thank you to everyone
involved in making this year's UK Leroc
Championships such a success! This was the
fourth year that the modern jive championships
have been held in the West of England, but the
first time it has been held at the Pavilion
Ballroom in Weston-super-Mare. The new venue was
a huge hit and has already been re-booked for
next year's competition (22-23rd July 2005, if
you want to put it in your diary now!).

must certainly go to our judges - David & Lily
Barker, Kerrin and Lucy Osmond, Carol Haines,
James & Bridgett and Joseph & Tricia who did a
fantastic and very professional job.
We'd like to thank all the
competitors who came from many different modern
jive organisations from all over the country.
The standard of dancing was extremely high. In
many categories, the judging was extremely close
between the finalists.
Music was provided by Peter
Phillips who DJed at the competition Welcome
Dance on the Friday evening, and Jon White of
Jive Magic who presided over the competition and
the Glitter Ball and gave us over 12 hours of
non-stop music!
The staff of the Winter
Gardens were very efficient, an army of helpers
volunteered to help out on the day, and along
with the audience and dancers at both parties,
helped give the event a terrific atmosphere.
